Painting the City Pink
Soft, feminine, natural is how I would describe Laura Mercier's Second Skin Cheek Color line of blushes. They boast skin-silkening botanicals and light diffusing properties that allow for a long-lasting, flawless application of color. Right now, I just have one of the many shades the line carries and I'm absolutely smitten with it. I'd like to offer for your review City Pink.
City Pink is a sumptuous carnation pink that goes on sheer, leaving a light veil of color that appears to emanate from within - which is part of its genius. Here's a blush that actually makes you look like you're blushing. Beautiful!
City Pink is highly pigmented and soft to the touch. The finish is more like a satin, not quite matte, but there is absolutely no frost factor involved here. It applies smoothly and disperses into a natural flush of color on the cheek.
If you choose to check out Laura Mercier's Second Skin blushes, don't be alarmed by the size of the compact. At a net weight of 0.13oz, it may seem small, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in quality and efficacy - key attributes that allow for the amount of product to easily translate to more than enough.
Second Skin Cheek Colors can be found at Sephora and retail for about $24.
